Environmental policy
Churchill Hui is determined to serve the best interests of its clients and building end users by protecting and actively promoting the improvement of the built environment.

Churchill Hui will lead by example in its own activities through the commitment to its Environmental Policy and will aim to minimise the impacts of its activities.
Churchill Hui, whilst working towards the achievement of sustainable development, will ensure that its environmental priorities are integrated into the decisions it takes on all its services and will seek to:
- Promote the most efficient use of energy;
- Provide housing with a good living environment;
- Assess the impact of our existing and proposed activities on the environment;
- Encourage the reduction of the need for movement of both people and goods and encourage walking, cycling and the use of public transport as alternatives to the private car;
- Through its design and management functions, minimise and where possible, eliminate, all forms of pollution;
- In its day to day activities, avoid waste and encourage the appropriate conservation, re-use and recycling of resources;
- Encourage measures to protect, restore and enhance wildlife and natural environments;
- Conserve and enhance the character and quality of the built environment;
- Avoid environmental damage by assessing and monitoring environmental impacts rather than responding to them afterwards;
- Foster a sense of responsibility for the environment among employees at all levels, and encourage greater awareness of environmental issues;
- Work in partnership with our clients, contractors, suppliers and others to comply with all regulatory requirements at a local, national, European and international level, and to encourage continuous improvement in environmental performance and practices.
- To enable all partners and staff to have a proper work life balance, for example, enabling people to work flexible hours or from home.
- To encourage partners and staff to learn more about sustainability including renewable energy by attendance on appropriate courses.
