Ian Manley

Ian has been with Churchill Hui for over 15 years and became a partner in 2007. He is Head of Building Surveying and is responsible for technical design issues. He is also one of our contract administrators on traditionally procured projects, such as large refurbishments and major repair schemes.

Ian has been involved in the construction industry for over 25 years. Early in his career he spent six years working for contractors. This gave him invaluable experience and a good all-round knowledge of both the construction process and detailing. During this time he was also part of the management team working on prestigious residential and commercial projects.

Today, he specialises in residential projects and in particular the design of social housing schemes, both refurbishment and new build. He has completed a number of large hostel refurbishments and major repair programmes. He has also been involved in the design and specification of refurbishment and conversion works on a number of buildings listed by English Heritage.

Ian holds a Bachelor of Science Honours degree in Building Surveying from the South Bank University in London.
